GenAI Playbook Design

GenAI is an exciting world, and this ebook dives right in! exploring its potential to transform learning and development. It examines how L&D innovators use these tools to design engaging content, personalize learning experiences, and streamline assessments. However, it will navigate the challenges of this rapidly evolving technology, offering guidance on avoiding common pitfalls and choosing the right AI tools for the audience’s needs.

The Challenge

This project presented the challenge of visually translating the “Building from simple things to complex things” concept, originally conceived by my coworker Sofia Solis. As both graphic designer and art director for this AI campaign, my role was to bring this concept to life in an engaging and accessible ebook format.

This involved several key considerations:

  • Brand Alignment: Harnessing the energy of the SweetRush brand colors while elevating them within a mature and refined design language.

  • Content Engagement: Create an eye-catching ebook with limited visual elements available for the core content, except for the Case Studies Visuals and some 3d cube compositions.

  • Accessibility and Readability: To ensure an inclusive and user-friendly experience while also considering responsiveness for optimal viewing across different devices.

The Solution

A 49-page playbook that successfully captured the essence of generative AI through a dynamic visual language. The design seamlessly integrated vibrant 3D shapes, rainbow gradients, and compelling content to create an immersive and informative experience.

  • Brand Alignment: This involved carefully balancing the 3D shapes (created in Spline) with the bold hues of the SweetRush gradients, ample white space, and bold black typography to produce a contemporary, professional feel.

  • Content Engagement: With limited visual elements available for the core content, the design strategy focused on maximizing the impact of typography and layout to create a dynamic and engaging reading experience. This involved a strategic interplay of blocky internal covers, concise paragraphs, impactful pull quotes, data highlights, and bold headings to guide the reader’s attention and emphasize key takeaways.

  • Accessibility and Readability: To ensure an inclusive and user-friendly experience with the horizontal layout, the design prioritized accessibility and readability by establishing a clear visual hierarchy and considering responsiveness for optimal viewing across different devices.
