About SweetRush

Each year, SweetRush designs an end-of-year gift to foster a sense of connection and appreciation within the SR community. In 2023 I was part of the landing page design team.

The Challenge

The project demanded a creative solution: breathe new life into existing EOY gifts, transforming them into an engaging, interactive experience. With limited time and resources, we (part of the marketing team) had to find innovative ways to present familiar content in a way that felt both warm and special.

The Solution

As an Art Director and Graphic Designer on the EOY project, I played a pivotal role in shaping the creative vision and execution. Collaborating closely with fellow Art Director Irene Jimenez and programmer Cesar Esquivel, we engaged in dynamic brainstorming sessions that sparked the innovative concept of an interactive portal showcasing the company’s legacy of end-of-year gifts.

We went from the idea of having a virtual gallery to a dynamic website with a parallax effect. In the process we decided to simplify the product for a more readable version, keeping the fun and the eye-catching look. 

The illustrations for each card resulted from a dynamic creative process, where Irene and I partnered with Midjourney to translate conceptual themes into visually striking imagery. We utilized the AI’s generative potential while maintaining artistic control to ensure each illustration perfectly complements its corresponding gift.
